My 15' Current Design Vision 150
The Sierra Club Meetup kayaked westbound on the St Sebastian River
About a dozen members showed up
About an hour into the paddle, the group found the Scout Campsite
Unfortunately it was not open enough for us to stop and get out of the kayaks
Most of the group wanted to go back - so they did
I really wanted to continue on westward to see if I could find the west kayak launch point
I asked Karen, also in a Sit-In, if she would like to join me, and she said yes
Worked out GREAT
We went through no-mans's land, then some houses, then no-man's land
Finally at a narrow point I got stuck on on log with another pinching my bow
So, after going about 5 miles in 2 hours, I decided we should back
I was not sure how close we were to that "Park" that actualy was only about 1/2 a mile away
I originally wanted to know if we could make it to the park or would it be too narrow
or too sharp bends for my 15' kayak
So, will try again another day

Note the tree sticking out of the water
There also was an underwater stump that caught my kayak
At that point I decided to trun back!! (Wimp I am at times)
